Badal says SAD committed to the philosphy of ‘Miri-Piri’ call for unity in the Khalsa Panth

Amritsar-Shiromani Akai Dal (Badal) president Sukhbir Singh
Badal today gave an impassioned call for “unity in the Khalsa Panth under the
Kesari Nishan” and  called for  “identifying and defeating
conspiracies and  conspirators active in Sikh garb to set Sikhs against Sikhs.”

Addressing a Panthic gathering from the historic Manji Sahib  Diwan
Hall in the Darbar Sahib complex, the Akali leader cautioned “the Sikh
quom  against  deep rooted conspiracies to render the community
leaderless and dependent totally on non-Sikh centers of power  outside
Punjab.” He said the Akali Dal was the sole regional party in Punjab:
“While Congress  is driven from 10-Jan Path and AAP is a hand maiden of Arvind
Kejriwal,  Shiromani Akai Dal,  born at Sri Akal Takhat Sahib, was
the sole party that takes pride in being a party of Punjabis .”

In a speech Badal said “The Sikhs have always faced assaults from enemies in
Delhi and their traitorous agents in Punjab These agents function in Sikh garb,
speak the Sikh religious idiom and pretend to swear by the Panthic values. But
in fact, they function as Trojan Horses, and they are assigned duties  to
sow suspicion in Sikh minds against their elected religious and political
leaders. They spit venom only against Akali Dal while maintaining a
discreet silence over the sins of Congress and AAP against the Sikhs and
Punjabis. They won’t utter a word on 1984 nor would they open their mouth against
Arvind Kejriwal defaming Punjabis farmers with allegations on smoke pollution.”

Sukhbir Badal also said that the Congress govts, like the British rulers,
first tried “to break our spirit through tanks and mortars. But they soon
realized that this couldn’t be achieved and turned to conspiracies to divide
us. Their aim is to  keep the community divided and leaderless  and
to create a situation where the Sikhs do not have any platform or leadership of
their own and have to turn to the non-Sikh and non-Punjabi  parties and
leaders even to resolve religious crises like the one we faced in 1984.” He
said SAD(Badal) alone was committed to the vision of Guru Sahiban on Miri and
Piri and said that “ political power for the people was necessary to preserve
and promote religion and religious values.”

Shiromani Akai Dal (Badal) president Sukhbir Singh Badal emphasized that
only “unity in our ranks could defeat these conspiracies, Badal appealed to
“every member of the Khalsa Panth across the globe, including  NRIs,
to be vigilant against  outsiders hostile to the Sikhs who  have been
exploiting us by turning us against one another.”

SAD(B) president said we are open to any criticism, suggestions or advice.
Criticise me, correct me, blast me whenever you think I am wrong. Referring
to  incidents of be-adbi, Sukhbir Badal said that these incidents appear
linked to conspiracies  “to achieve what our enemies could not achieve
even by rolling tanks  into the sacred Harmandar Sahib and the gruesome
massacre of innocents in Delhi and elsewhere. They now believe that they can destroy
us by dividing us. We must be vigilant.” He said that he had full faith in the
Guru Sahiban and divine justice. Truth will come out one day that all these
were conspiracies against Sikhs to divide and weaken them.”

for the challenges of the new age.
