Bengal bypoll: Mamata Banerjee wins Bhowanipore by 58,835 votes

Kolkata : West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has registered a stunning win in the Bhowanipore bypoll by a margin of over 58,000 votes. All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) has won all three assembly seats in West Bengal amid pressure between TMC and BJP.

Zakir Hossain TMC candidate has won Jangipur seat by a margin of 92,232 votes and TMC candidate Amirul Islam won by 26,111 votes on Samsherganj seat.

Bhowanipore constituency is considered as the home turf of Mamata Banerjee and has been a stronghold of TMC. She had registered a massive victory from the constituency in 2011.
