Bengaluru businessman suicide case turns political as Congress demand arrest of BJP MLA

Bengaluru : A 47-year-old Bengaluru businessman allegedly shot himself in the head inside his car here on Sunday. According to police, resident of Ambalipura on Harlur road  Pradeep S left behind  and eight –page suicide note in English holding six people, including BJP MLA Aravinda  Limbavali , responsible for him taking extreme step. Pradeep ended his life in the car near Kaggalipura.

As the news spread Limbavali  called for press conference and said  “i have learnt that i have been named in the  note. Pradeep used to handle my social media between 2010 and 2013 and active with party work. He had brought a business dispute of his to my notice and asked him and his partners to resolve it amicably. Later, he (pradeep) came and thanked me. I am not aware why he died by suicide or why i have been named in the note” he added. Meanwhile Limbavali denied any wrongdoing and said he is ready to face “any inquiry” . He also said  that  he had only tried to help Pradeep.

Pradeeep suicide case took a political  turn as  with congress dubbing it a murder and demanding the arrest of senior  BJP  legislator Aravind Limbavali.

Congress Karnataka in-charge , Randeep Singh Surjewala and Opposition leader Siddaramaiah, and kpcc working president  Ramalinga reddy, met members of the bereaved family at their residence and later urged the government to ensure justice for the family, Surjewala blamed Karnataka government corruption for the such deaths.

Siddaramaiah said,” The MLA who was named the the death note should be immediately arrested. An FIR has already been registered against the accused and evidence is like to be destroyed if the are not arrested as the MLA is and influential person.”

Recalling the suicide of civil contractor Santosh Patil, who had named BJP’s KS Eshwarappa in his death note, siddaramaiah pointed out that investigators had given the MLA a clean chit and case was closed. He said the Pradeep case appeared to be going down the same track and demanded the government  refrain  from interfering  the process of  law.
