Bharat Electronics Limited shines with 15.83% growth in H1 FY 2024-25

Bengaluru : Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking (PSU), Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), has once again demonstrated its resilience and strategic growth trajectory with impressive financial results for the first half of the fiscal year 2024-25. Achieving a turnover of ₹8,530.43 crore, BEL recorded a remarkable growth rate of 15.83% over the corresponding period in the previous year, where turnover was ₹7,364.82 crore. This momentum highlights BEL’s strength in meeting the increasing demand for advanced defense and electronic solutions, according to the press statement from BEL here today.

In the second quarter alone, BEL registered a turnover of ₹4,425.29 crore, up from ₹3,918.13 crore in the same quarter last year. This reflects a robust quarter-on-quarter growth, underscoring BEL’s effective execution of its orders and its commitment to high-performance standards.

The company’s Profit Before Tax (PBT) for H1 FY 2024-25 stood at ₹2,488.22 crore, marking an impressive 40.05% increase compared to ₹1,776.69 crore in the previous year. The second quarter of FY 2024-25 also saw PBT rise to ₹1,450.88 crore, as opposed to ₹1,072.94 crore in the same period last year.

BEL’s Profit After Tax (PAT) followed a similar growth trend, reaching ₹1,867.41 crore during the first half of FY 2024-25, up 39.03% over last year’s ₹1,343.18 crore. In Q2 alone, PAT was reported at ₹1,091.27 crore, a significant increase from ₹812.34 crore recorded in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

BEL’s growth is backed by a solid order book, which stood at ₹74,595 crore as of October 1, 2024. This order book provides a strong foundation for future growth and underlines BEL’s continued role in fortifying India’s defense and strategic electronics capabilities.
