Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 highlighted in Mumbai

Mumbai: The Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 – a Ministry of Commerce and Industry initiative — is set to be held from January 17 to January 22 at the three venues of Bharat Mandapam (New Delhi), Yashobhoomi (Dwarka, New Delhi) and India Expo Center & Mart (Greater Noida).

Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, in a curtain-raiser of this Expo held in New Delhi earlier, had described it as the world’s 2nd largest mobility show with its theme “Beyond Boundaries: Co-Creating the Future of the Automotive Value Chain.”

Emphasizing the Government’s commitment to support this sector in becoming the pinnacle for mobility technology globally with a speedy transition to electric vehicles, Goyal said “Scaling production of electric vehicles will help achieving cost-effectiveness, while this Expo will showcase India’s story in attracting investments and expanding trade and exports.”

Meanwhile, Pankaj Chadha, Chairperson of Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC), told media here recently that the EXPO will highlight the latest advancements and breakthroughs in the mobility ecosystem, which showcasing cutting-edge technologies and sustainable solutions.

“The Expo will host over 34 prominent vehicle manufacturers that will be unveiling new models and electric vehicles, besides displaying electric, hybrid, CNG and biofuel-powered vehicles from both international and domestic companies.”

Over 20 conferences will feature global experts discussing the mobility value chain. Around 800 auto component manufacturers and 1,000 brands from over 13 global markets will exhibit their products, technologies, and services tailored to OEMs and the aftermarket.

The event will witness dedicated country pavilions from Germany, UK, South Korea and Japan, besides participation of the USA, Spain, UAE, China, Russia, Italy, Turkey, Singapore and Belgium.

Replying to questions, Chadha said “India’s vision is to become a leader as it is at the crossroads of transformation in the auto and mobility sector, while also being the largest global manufacturer of three-wheelers and tractors.”

To a question whether the Chinese would be participating in the EXPO, he said “There is no ‘Battery’ section, but their delegates may come as visitors.”

The Expo is being supported by over 11 Apex Industry Associations including: SIAM, ACMA, ICEMA, ATMA, IESA, NASSCOM, ISA, MRAI, ITPO, Yashobhoomi, IEML, IBER, CII and Invest India along with PwC India as a knowledge partner.

This expanded event will be held in collaboration with 15 ministries, state governments, industry associations, and numerous industry leaders.
