BJP respects the Constitution, while Congress has trampled upon Constitution made by Baba Saheb says Anil Vij

Ambala: Former Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij while talking to media persons here made a scathing comment on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s statement ‘Equalize everyone’s income,’ saying, “First, make my income equal to Rahul Gandhi’s, then do the rest whenever they (Congress) do it, because I also work day and night, so we both (Anil Vij-Rahul Gandhi) should be equal”. Vij laughed and said, “Now, what Rahul Gandhi thinks and does is like ‘looking London taking Tokyo’.”

Media persons when asked Vij about Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi’s statement that the BJP is conspiring to change the Constitution. Responding to this, he said that the BJP respects the Constitution the most because the BJP manifesto was released on the birth anniversary of the Constitution maker Baba Saheb Ambedkar, while the Congress talks about the Constitution, the one who trampled upon the Constitution made by Baba Saheb.

Vij reiterated that Indira Gandhi imposed Emergency and crushed all fundamental rights. He said that for many months, millions of people were jailed, and elected governments were toppled using Article 356, like a child breaking toys. Vij said that he doesn’t like it when Congress talk about the Constitution. He said that if they want to talk about the Constitution, then first remove wherever there are pictures of Indira Gandhi, then we’ll believe they respect the Constitution.

Former Chief Minister of Haryana, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, has taunted and said that “the BJP government is half coward, half corrupt, and completely useless.” Responding to this, Anil Vij criticized Hooda and said, “Hooda sahib is absolutely right. Whatever he did during the previous regime, he should have lifted him up that day, and if had done, then he would have known how successful and powerful the government is.”

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini had said that if there is any complaint against Dushyant, they will investigate. In response, Digvijay Chautala said that there should also be an investigation into who is mining in Narayangarh. On this question, Vij said, “I don’t know who is talking about whom. This is a democracy, everyone has the right to speak, but if someone, anywhere, has done something wrong, the BJP does not spare them because this is Narendra Modi’s policy.”
