BSF Head Constable killed In Pakistan firing In Jammu And Kashmir’s Samba

A Border Security Force (BSF) personnel lost his life due to firing by Pakistani troops along the international border in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district. 

BSF Head Constable Lal Fam Kima, aged 50 and hailing from Aizwal in Mizoram, was critically injured during the unprovoked firing by Pakistan Rangers in the Ramgarh sector. He was immediately shifted to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries this morning.

The BSF promptly responded to the firing, which began around midnight.  This marks the third ceasefire violation by Pakistan Rangers in the past three weeks, reflecting an escalation of tensions in the region.

The incident is a yet another breach of the ceasefire understanding that was established between India and Pakistan in February 2021.
