BSF seized drone and drugs at Indo-Pak Border

Amritsar:  Border Security Force have seized a drone at indo-Pak border in a damaged condition.

In a Statement issued here today, official said that on 07th June  at about 0910 PM, depth deployed troops of BSF heard a mild buzzing sound of a suspected drone near Village – Bhaini Rajputana, District – Amritsar.

As per the laid down drill, BSF troops immediately reacted to intercept the drone, he said.

 Meanwhile, the depth deployed Police naka party also joined the BSF party, and a joint search was launched in the area. During the search, a drone in broken condition was recovered from the farming field adjacent to Rajatal – Bharopal – Daoke Tri – junction, on the outskirts of Village – Bhaini Rajputana, District – Amritsar.

The recovered drone is a Quadcopter of model DJI Matrice 300RTK series.

However, in  another operation BSF seized a consignment of drugs in the bordering district of  the Tarn Taran .

BSF official stated that on 07th June, at about 0905 PM, BSF troops deployed at the border heard the buzzing sound of a drone coming from Pakistan to India side near the bordering village – Wan, District – Tarn Taran. As per drill, the troops immediately reacted to intercept the drone and the depth deployed parties were also alerted.

 Further, at about 0910 PM, BSF motorcycle patrol observed a bike movement, with Headlights – off, coming from village – Wan side and signalled the rider to stop. However, the bike rider accelerated the bike in order to escape towards the village – Mari Kamboke. BSF patrol party chased the bike and found the abandoned bike at village – Mari Kamboke, while the miscreants fled away.

 Further the whole village was cordoned and a joint search by BSF & Police was carried-out, during search a packet tightly wrapped with yellow adhesive tape and attached with an Iron ring, meant to be carried by a drone, was recovered from an open area between two houses.  The Gross weight of the recovered consignment of suspected narcotics is  2.5 Kgs. Seized items have been handed over to the Police for further investigation.
