BSF seized drug consignments in two different locations border districts

Amritsar : Border Security Force seized drug consignments from two different locations of Amritsar and Tarn Taran border districts here today.

The first consignment of Heroin (drug) on 25th March  was  seized early in the morning  when on duty Border Security Force troops observed suspicious packets lying in a farming field on the Indian side of border fencing near Village – Wan, District – Tarn Taran. Further, during a detailed search of the area, BSF troops recovered 07 Packets, Heroin (Gross wt – 07 kgs) from the farming field, stated in an official statement.

The another seized was at Amritsar sector on 25th March at about 11.30 AM, when on duty BSF troops observed a Tea container lying in a farming field ahead of the border fence, on the Indian side of international border near Village – Bharopal, District – Amritsar. On dissecting the container, narcotic substance heroin (Gross weight – 810 gm) was found filled inside the cavity of the container.
