BSF shot down Pakistani drone carrying 3.3 kilogram heroin at Indo-Pak border village in Amritsar

Amritsar, May 21 – Border Security Force have shot down a Pakistan drone in the Indo-Pak border village of Amritsar sector.

In a statement issued here today stated that on 20th, at about 2048 hours, BSF troops deployed in depth area, heard buzzing sound of a suspected Pak drone, in the area near Village – Dhanoe Kalan – Amritsar sector.

 As per the laid down drill, BSF troops immediately reacted to intercept the drone and successfully downed the Pak drone with Contraband.

During initial search of the area, BSF troops recovered a Drone (Quadcopter, DJI Matrice, 300 RTK) alongwith a consignment containing three packets of Narcotics, attached with the Drone by the means of iron ring, from the farming fields of Indo-Pak Village – Dhanoe Kalan in Amritsar.

 Luminous strips were also found attached with the consignment for easy detection of Smugglers.

The gross Weight of the recovered consignment of heroin was – 3.3 Kgs.
