Budget is not upto the expection: Bhagwant Mann

New Delhi :
Member Parliament Bhagwant Mann, while denouncing the annual budget presented by the union government, said that the Modi government had not only given step-motherly treatment to Punjab and Delhi yet again time, adding that it had disappointed every section of the society in the country.
Bhagwant Mann, while canvassing for the party nominees in the upcoming Delhi assembly elections, including Gulab Singh from Matiala constituency, Rajkumari Dhillon (Hari Nagar), Jarnail Singh (Tilak Nagar), Dhanwanti Chandela (Rajouri Garden), Mahinder Yadav (Vikaspuri), and Rajesh Giri (Janakpuri), said in his typical tongue-in-cheek style that there was nothing but false promises for the people of the country the finance minister offered through her lengthy speeches during the budget session.
Taking a swipe at the Modi government, Mann said “Today, the budget speech delivered by the Union Finance Minister was a mere sheaf of lies, which offered a damn for the year 2020. The budget sought to double the farmers’ income by 2022, one public health center each in all the districts, and opening 100 airports by 2024, saying they had proposals rolled out for opening up of diploma institutes cross the county and so on. He added that the government had proposals drawn out till the year 2050, asking the Modi government whether the budget was presented for one year, i.e. 2020-21 or 30 years till the year 2050.
The AAP MP said that the budget had disappointed every section of the society in the country, which had exposed the anti-country and anti-people face of the Modi government, adding that it (The budget) was ‘designed’ to appease a handful of corporate houses, like the Ambanis and the Adanis while the people of the country at large were totally ignored.
Mann said that government and public sector institutions were being pushed into private hands for nuts, saying that 150 private railways and airports were a part of the government’s ‘nefarious design’.
Bhagwant Mann said that in the budget, the farmers, the unemployed, businessmen, traders, youths, the rural poor and Dalits, had been summarily ignored, saying it didn’t speak anything about the Swaminathan commission’s recommendations for farmers, the promised 2 crore jobs per year for the youth and measures to curb inflation which had already touched the 7.36 per cent figure.
Bhagwant Mann said that the country’s economy was in for a huge slump. The Modi government’s claims of 10 per cent of GDP had fallen flat as the same had crossed the 45 per cent figure, saying it had caused a huge dent in the peoples’ faith in, besides the government’s faulty fiscal policies, the public sector banks, claiming that the government would take guarantee for Rs 5 lakh in the event of a bank faced closure.
