Budget of Rs 2000 crore would change the structure of government schools in Haryana

Government in the centre has sanctioned an amount worth Rs 2013 crore for face-lifting the structure and upgrade the standard of education in 3893 government schools functioning in Haryana state. Sanjiv Kaushal,  Chief Secretary Haryana, while talking to media persons said that the state government will focus in this respect since most of the educational institutes located in rural areas are facing severe neglect as well as shortage of teachers in imparting education as well as provide basic structure to the students. He said, a decision has been taken that during the first stage as many as 124 senior and middle schools would be given ‘PM Shree’ status on which amount worth Rs 85 crore 27 lakh will be spent. He said that students will be provided special training in different fields including cyber crimes, personality development, self-security for the development of a strong future for a which budget for an amount worth Rs 10 crore 75 lakh has been sanctioned. Sanjiv Kaushal said that programmes for self-defence by the female students would be introduced in 4098 schools in Haryana state.

Chief Secretary said, there will be a provision for supply of sanitary pads free of cost to the female students in the schools for which amount worth Rs 39,500 each school has been sanctioned for the purchase of SPVI machine initially for 1304 schools across the state for which budget for amount worth Rs 5.5 crore has been approved by the government. He said, the state government has already purchased as many as 350 machines and procurement for the purchase of another 464 machines is under process. He said that the School Learning Acceleration Programme for female students in Nuh district is being started by the Mewat Development Agency for which amount worth Rs 7 crore for 805 primary schools and amount worth Rs 1 crore 13 lakh for 127 middle schools has been released by the government. Sanjiv Kaushal said that Rs 300 monthly allowance is being provided to every handicapped student apart from an monthly amount up to Rs 200 is being provided to each physicallyhandicapped students unfit to walk. enabling such students to attend the school.
