Since then, there are constant speculations that the leader of the legislative party will be announced at any time, but the Congress high command has put the MLAs’ wait to an end. Sources reveal, 37 Congress MLAs have been elected to the Assembly. More than 30 of these MLAs are Hooda supporters, but the anti-Hooda leaders of the Congress do not want Hooda to be given the command of the leader of the legislative party again. Information also reveals, in a discussion with Congress in-charge BK Hariprasad in a recent meeting held in New Delhi, these senior leaders have also conveyed their opinion to him. There are few Hooda supporting MLAs who are with Hooda only for show, but they themselves want to become the leader of the legislative party in the state. Such leaders, instead of lobbying before the party in-charge to make Hooda the leader of the legislative party, have lobbied for themselves. However, out of the 37 Congress MLAs in Haryana state, more than two dozen MLAs have proposed to the in-charge to make Hooda the leader of the legislative party.

Haryana Congress President Chaudhary Udaybhan is hopeful that due to Rahul Gandhi’s busy schedule, the name of the leader of the legislative party has not been decided yet. It is likely that the leader of the legislative party will be decided by Holi. The leader of the Congress Legislative Party will be the leader of the opposition in the assembly. According to Udaybhan, while having talks with media persons there is every possibility that the Congress will get a leader of the legislative party and the opposition during the present budget session.
