Amritsar, June 25 – Chief of Army Staff General Manoj Pandey along with his wife Archna Pandey paid obeisance in the sanctum sanctorum of the Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple) here today.
He spent some time in the VIP enclosure of the Sanctum Sanctorum where he listened to Shabad Kirtan, thereafter he paid obeisance at Akal Takht (highest Sikh temporal seat).
He was honored by the SGPC officials in the Information Centre of the Sri Harmandir Sahib with a set of Sikh religious books, a replica of the Sri Harmandir Sahib and woolen shawls.
Before leaving the Information Centre of Sri Harmandir Sahib, he wrote in the visitor’s book, “ I feel blessed to have the privilege to pay obeisance in the Golden Temple. I pray before Almighty for the wellbeing of army personals of all ranks and their good health and May God keep them happy”.
