Chinese rapid test kits not up to the mark ; Vij

State health minister Anil Vij took a serious view over sub standard material being supplied
to state health department at the time when people are suffering from COVID-19. The quality
of huge quantity of Rapid Test Kits received from China was found not up to the mark and its
use was discontinued. Meanwhile, order for one lakh Rapid Test Kits was placed on a South
Korean firm at Manesar in Gurugram district who has already supplied 25000 kits much
superior in quality at 50% reduced rates.
Anil Vij said, action is being taken against Gurugram bases SLR Laboratories provided faulty
corona negative reports in many cases including four cases at Ambala an ANM and three
members of a family at Shahzadpur identified corona positive in their test reports whereas in
other two tests reports by Kalpana Chawla Medical College and Khanpur Medical College
the four were detected corona negative, which is a matter of concern and CMO Ambala as
well as CMO Gurugram have been deployed to look into the matter and submit a report for
further action.
Vij said that Bhiwani police raided a house at Bank Colony manufacturing spurious quality
face masks being manufactured in a residential house illegally and seized nearly 2 lakh face
masks and raw material SHO Industrial Area police station Bhiwani also conducted surprise
raid at village Haripur and recovered spurious quality face masks and PPE kits from vehicle
parked outside and a case was registered under sections188, 268 IPC.
Talking to media persons, Vij appreciated the role of corona warriers during present epidemic
outbreak as a result recovery rate in Haryana state has been identified 57% as against 16% in
centre. Vij said, as many as nine fresh corona positive cases has been detected in the state in
past 24 hours, which include four cases at Sonepat, four cases at Gurugram and one case at
Ambala. Whereas 11 corona patients recovered and discharged from hospitals in this period
including four patients at Faridabad, 3 patients at Ambala, two patients at Nuh and one
patient each at Panchkula and Palwal.
