Church vandalized at bordering town Patti in Tarn Taran district of Punjab

Amritsar, August 31- Four unidentified masked youths entered the Church at Village Takkarpura of Patti bordering town falling in the Tarn Taran district where the miscreants vandalized the holy religious statue. Incident happened during the intervening night of August 30 and 31st.

According to Police,  the four unidentified masked youths, after gaining entry in the church, put a pistol on the temple of the watchman besides tying  his hands and breaking the religious statue inside the Church. Miscreants also burnt the car of a church priest before leaving the spot.

After the incident a heavy police force led by SSP Tarn Taran Ranjit Singh Dhillon reached the spot to take stock of the situation.

People of the Christen community carrying anger in their hearts sat in protest and completely blocked all the routes leading to Khemkaran, Bhikiwind, Patti, Harikey and Ferozpur while demanding immediate arrest of the accused who had vandalized the holy church.
