Clash between Nihangs and Radha Soami sect created serious law & order problem outside the Radha Soami sect Beas

Beas (Amritsar) September 4 – A group of Nihang Singhs attempted to gain forcible entry in the Dera Baba Jaimal Singh (Radha Soami Sect Beas) premises along with hundreds of cows took ugly turn when Sect followers stopped the Nihangs by closing the gates of the premises.

According to Police, today a large group of Nihangs along with their stray animals attempted to gain entry in the premises with their animals by saying that they want shelter and fodder for cows which was denied by the Dera Radha Soami sect followers.

After verbal spat, one of Nihang attacked on Radha Soami Sect Security Incharge  Parmdeep Singh Teja who got injuries on his shoulders, whereupon SHO Jandaila Guru Davinder Kumar who was present on the spot intervened and requested the Nihangs to stop violence but his request went unheard as result SHO was also hurt and got injured.

Situation took ugly turn when a group of Nihangs crashed the tall iron gates of Radha Soami sect to continue their march along with animals towards the Dera Radha Soami premises whereupon around ten people   from both sides were injured and hospitalized.

After the incident heavy police force was called on the spot, Inspector General of Police border Range, SSP Amritsar Swapan Sharma along with all the SHOs of nearby  police stations were present on the spot to bring the situation under control.

Till the writing of news, more police force was being called from other nearby districts as the situation was becoming critical , since people from both sides were emerging more and more that has developed serious law and order problems around the Radha Soami  Sect Beas.
