CM Flying Sqaud seized 40500 litre spirit from roadside ‘dhaba’

Team of Chief Minister Flying Squad Haryana succeeded in busting several rackets succeeded in busting several rackets involved in illegal practices in the state in past sometime now busted another racket supplying spirit to illicit liquor manufacturers in Haryana, U.P and Rajasthan states. The squad conducted raid at a roadside dhaba ‘Bhole Ka Dhaba’ at village Kalmi in Rohtak district and seized 40500 litre spirit in 200 litre drums kept behind the dhaba and arrested 24 persons including two prime accused both brothers identified as Sandeep and Kuldeep, whereas their third brother Randeep alias Nanha also involved in this illegal business was not present at the time of raid. Among others 22 arrested included 17 labourers working as bonded labourers at the dhaba and other working as drivers. Raiding team recovered Rs 96000 cash from prime accused both brothers and 10 vehicles parked outside the dhaba used to procure spirit from distilleries at Rajpura in Punjab and another at Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh as disclosed by them. They also admitted supplying spirit to illicit liquor manufacturers in Haryana as well as in surrounding states.

During police investigation after a case was registered at Sadar police station Rohtak the labourers told that they were not allowed to talk to anyone other then visitors in the dhaba and were engaged in loading and unloading when spirit stocks were received or supplied. During investigation, a driver Ramesh disclosed that he had procured 25000 litre spirit from a distillery at Bhopal a couple of days ago against Rs 16 lakh payment and involvement of excise department officers was suspected in the case. He told that he had also brought spirit in 200 litre drums from distillery at Rajpura in Punjab a couple of times. He further disclosed that Bhopal distillery prepared documents in which consignment was shown booked to Assam. Sat Pal SI told that search for the arrest of third brother Randheer alias Nanha is going on. He said, police will try to find out all those where illegal supply of spirit was being made by the racket.
