CM flying squad during raids checked ambulance vans in Haryana hospitals

Found 45 vans unfit out of 190 inspected vehicles

In view of the complaints that ambulance services in most of the hospitals are not in order, the CM Flying Squad teams deployed by the state health department Haryana conducted surprise raids in government hospitals in the state at Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Karnal, Kaithal, Jind, Panipat, Sonepat, Jhajjar, Rohtak, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri and Fatehabad in the state. out of total number of 365 ambulance vans in these government hospitals the raiding teams checked 190 ambulance vans, out of these 45 vans (nearly 24%) were found unfit for use, having discrepancies including no GPS in most of the vans, either without or having empty oxygen cylinder, biometric machine in the vans out of order, ambulance vans without medical kit, having defective CCTV camera installed in the ambulance and most of the vans running with incomplete documents of the vehicle.

District-wise  checking of the ambulance vans by the flying squad teams revealed that out of 30 ambulance vans checked by the squad discrepancies were observed in 11 vans in the government hospital in Jind.  Similarly, flying squad team found three ambulance vans unfit for use  out of eight vans checked in the government hospital Panipat, the team found all six vans in order during checking in government hospital at Kurukshetra, the team found nine ambulance vans in order out of the total number of 21 vans in government hospital Rohtak, found five ambulance vans unfit for use out of the total number of 12 ambulance vans checked by the team in government hospital Jhajjar, found one van completely unfit for use out of the total number of 27 ambulance vans in government hospital Ambala, three ambulance vans were found unfit for use while checking 25 vans in government hospital Bhiwani.

CM Flying Squad team found all eight available ambulance vans out of the total number of 29 vans in the hospital in perfect condition while having a check in government hospital Karnal, the team checked two ambulance vans available in the government hospital Sirsa found in perfect condition. Similarly, one ambulance van was found unfit for use in government hospital Charkhi Dadri having a total number of 19 ambulance vans in the district and all four ambulance vans available in the government hospital Yamunanagar were found in order.
