Congress accuse Haryana government over unemployment & health services

Former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda strongly condemned ruling Khatter government in Haryana over increasing unemployment in the state on the survey report by Centre for Monitoring India Economy (CMIE) identified 27.9% unemployment in Haryana state which is three times higher than national figure. Denying CMIE report, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khatter said one cannot believe such types of reports by organizations playing on the tips of political parties like Congress might have included students as well as retired persons in the category of unemployed persons misguiding public. He said, on the basis of a recent survey, unemployment in the state has been observed nearly 6%. Hooda also accused ruling BJP-JJP government in the state responsible for increasing crime in Haryana.

Giving examples to media persons Hooda said during a recent recruitment for the posts of constables in Hharyana police department nearly 8.5 lakh youths had applied against 5500 vacancies n the state. He said, according to financial survey nearly nine lakh youths got themselves registered for government jobs this year but only 2800 of them were offered jobs. He added, in another case, against 18000 class IV employees jobs for the post of peon between 18 to 20 lakh youths had applied and majority of them were highly qualified, Similarly, nearly 25 lakh youths applied for the posts of 6000 posts for clerks in state government departments. Hooda further quoted few examples that for the posts of 10 peons in Jagadhari courts recently nearly 7000 candidates appeared for the the job and against vacancies for 13 temporary posts for peon in Sonepat courts more than15000 youths applied.

Denying allegations Haryana Chief Minister said, these are baseless allegations to defame ruling government in the state and report on unemployed youths by a private organization of doubtful character cannot be accepted, moreover nearly two lakh youths are getting employment in private organizations every year in the state according to state government’s new policy and Congress leaders should know that government jobs in Haryana state are now being given on the basis of ability of applicant in present  BJP-JJP rule in the state not being sold as in the past years.

Meanwhile , talking to media persons HPCC president Shelja strongly condemned over worsening health services in Haryana state saying that nearly 90% posts of specialist doctors in government hospitals in the state are lying vacant. Pointing at a recent incident in a government health centre in Jind district in which a pregnant woman brought to the hospital for delivery of child remained struggling for life on a bench outside the hospital since there was no doctor available in the hospital nor any nurse to attend the patient for three hours when she delivered a dead child in the absence of timely medical treatment. Shelja said, even ambulance services are not available in most of government hospitals in the state raising a question mark over tall claims by state health department.

Shelja said, there are health centres in rural places having 5000 population, there are Primary Health Centres in rural places having 30000 population and Community Health Centres in the area having 80000 population. Raising a question Shelja said what is the use of such Health Centres where there is no doctor, nurses and para-medical staff in these health centres. Refusing allegations State Health Minister Anil Vij said Congress leaders are in the habit of blaming ruling state government. He said, oxygen plants have been installed in many hospitals in the state, installation is going on in almost every government hospital in the state and even all private hospital in the state has been directed to install their own oxygen plant in their hospital.

Vij said, health department in state played important role to save lives during first and second Carona wave. As regard Jind case action is being taken against hospital administration and carelessness will not be tolerated. Vij said, if Congress leaders cannot appreciate should not criticise services of ruling government in the state.
