Reacting to the recent raids by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the state, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday said those who indulge in corrupt practices would have to face the consequences. On the recent arrest of Congress MLA Surinder Panwar by the ED, Saini said ED is an independent agency which works independently and decides its own course of action. The Chief Minister criticised Deepender Hooda MP accusing him of failing to account for the actions taken during his father’s tenure when he was chief minister and urged him to explain the work done when the Congress was ruling in Haryana. Referring to the Congress’ campaign presently going on in the state ‘Haryana Mange Hisaab’, CM Saini campaign is a journey of lies with its leader Rahul Gandhi leading the misinformation said, the Congress campaign based on lies.
Saini said, Deepender Hooda should first account for the actions during his father’s tenure when he was chief minister in the state for 10 years, and explain the work done during the rule of the Congress. The ‘Haryana Mange Hisaab’ campaign is a journey of lies, he added while talking to media persons. Nayab Singh Saini highlighted the issues from the Congress’ 10-year tenure, including corruption in recruitments, acute shortage of electricity and water supply during summers, inadequate pension schemes for the elderly and government jobs available on ‘Kharchi’ and ‘Parchi’. Saini contrasted this with the BJP’s focus on large numbers of development across the state during BJP rule in the state.
Meanwhile, CM Saini launched the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign in Sirsa. The campaign, involving Radha Soami Satsang (Bias) volunteers, saw the planting of 20,000 saplings to combat environmental pollution. Saini announced that the government would appoint 50,000 ‘Van Mitras’ (forest friends) to plant and protect trees, offering them Rs 20 per tree for their efforts. In Karnal, CM Saini participated in various social programmes including tea programmes at the residences of party workers. In reply to a media question as regard the Aam Aadmi Party’s five guarantees announced while launching poll campaign at Panchkula on Saturday CM Saini said, they have given guarantees in Punjab and Delhi as well, and everyone knows what the worth of their guarantees are, since nobody trusts their guarantees as they spread false promises. Saini said the situation in Punjab is terrible due to their guarantees they talk about development, but they are involved in corruption and their end is in jail.
CM Saini referred to Congress and AAP having similar nature, sometimes they criticise each other and sometimes they hug each other. He said, the Congress has a history of corruption with many major scams when ruling in Haryana, and they faced consequences, whereas the AAP has also been involved in several scams and their several leaders involved in corrupt practices are in jail. When media persons questioned farmers moving to Delhi, Sainie said the Central leadership is looking into this. We appeal to the farmers that blocking roads is not a solution, it can be solved with dialogues.
