Congress leaders fight among themselves as if they are bargaining for vegetables in a vegetable market : Vij

*Congress is not a party, it’s just a group says Anil Vij

Ambala : Former Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij took a jibe at the Congress and said that, “A party that has not held elections in Haryana for 16 years should be cancelled.” He also mocked the Congress leaders, saying Congress leaders fight among themselves as if they are bargaining for vegetables in a vegetable market. Vij was responding to questions asked by media persons here.

Congress had organized an election meeting, which was later canceled. On this matter, former Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij took a dig at Congress, questioning, “Can a party that has not held elections in Haryana for 16 years be considered a party? The Election Commission should actually cancel their recognition and seize their symbol.” He added that Congress is not a party but just a group where “a father and son are here, Surjewala is there, and somewhere else it’s Shailja. They are all fighting among themselves just like traders in a vegetable market bargaining over prices.”

Regarding the alliance announced by Jannayak Janta Party and Azad Samaj Party for the assembly elections, Vij commented that Regional parties have been wiped out in these elections, the contest is only between the main parties, that is, between two parties. No matter who forms an alliance with whom here, it does not matter. Elections are happening, and everyone has to play, however they may play.

Meanwhile, former Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala has said that he will not form an alliance with the BJP again, to which Vij laughed and responded, “We are not doing it either, we are contesting the elections alone.”
