Kurukshetra: While campaigning in Haryana, the PM Narender Modi while addressing a large gathering on Saturday during poll promotion of the Haryana assembly election in historic town Kurukshetra made severe attack on the main opposition party Congress, alleging it did not care for farmers, made false promises and spread ‘anarchy’. Campaigning the first rally in Haryana, where the Assembly election is scheduled for October 5, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a massive attack on the Congress party, terming it the most dishonest and deceitful party in the country, saying the Congress has never been bothered about the problems of the people and there is no other party in the country that is more dishonest and deceitful than the Congress. He said, the Congress always talking big for the farmers making big dreams about the minimum support price (MSP) of crops in Haryana all proved false, whereas the BJP while in power in the state, has approved purchase of 24 crops at MSP. Modi challenged if Congress has the guts, why doesn’t it implement its farmer schemes in Karnataka and Telangana where they are in power? where all development works have come to a standstill.
Addressing the Kurukshetra rally, Modi attacked the Congress on various issues, while praising his government’s performance wherever ruling. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, people in Haryana has decided to bring the BJP to power for a third consecutive term, terming his party anti-Dalit and anti-farmer, as well as the Congress’ politics today has reduced to spreading falsehoods and anarchy in the country, has become a new form of urban Naxal having no shame merely speaks a new lie daily, attacking the country’s unity regularly and is imposing ‘Naxalwadi thoughts, feeling no shame in defaming the country as well as defaming the BJP government. “If there is anybody who is the biggest anti-Dalit, anti-OBC and anti-tribal in the country, it is the Congress family. They have now said that if they come to power, they will end reservation for Dalits and the downtrodden,” he said the Congress has come to power in Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka and Telangana by making false promises and has destroyed these prosperous states. The prime minister said people gave BJP a third term at the Centre in the Lok Sabha elections, and now they will also give the BJP a hat-trick of victories in present Vidhan Sabha polls in Haryana.
Referring to Jammu and Kashmir also going to have assembly polls, Modi targeted the Congress fighting in alliance with the National Conference there by supporting the restoration of Article 370, the Congress wants to bring back the period when terrorism was at peak in J-K. “Will you allow the Congress to bring back Article 370? in Jammu-Kashmir” Modi raised a question on the huge crowd present in the rally. Modi said, in the neighbouring Himachal Pradesh state two years ago Congress came to power there and every one is aware of the situation there, no citizen of Himachal state is happy today, because Congress always speaks lies and never fulfilled its promises made to the people prior to election. The Prime Minister said, in Himachal Government employees go on frequent strike for salaries, no fresh recruitments taking place there, many schools and colleges have been closed down, promises for Rs 1,500 to every woman unfulfilled and the women continued to wait for years. Power and water supply, essential commodities like petrol, diesel, milk, daily use products have become dearer in Himachal. “All welfare schemes run by the previous BJP regime in Himachal have been halted since the economic situation is worsened,” Modi dubbed the Congress as the biggest dishonest and deceitful party in the country, saying in Karnataka also inflation and corruption are at peak and development has halted, since the Congress is showing how prosperous states are destroyed referring as a ‘kattar beimaan party’ making request not to allow such parties to come to power to save Haryana.
Modi said the new NDA government at the centre is yet to complete 100 days but it has already started work worth nearly Rs 15 lakh-crore. Attacking the Hooda family and previous Congress governments in Haryana prior to 2014, Modi said, people in Haryana have seen that period of the Congress government when money for development used to be limited to few districts only, in whose pockets that money used to go, everyone in the state knows, whereas BJP government in one decade rule undertook equal development work in every district across the state. Giving an example of Karnataka state, Prime Minister Modi said, see what is happening in Karnataka, during a short period of Congress’ rule in that state about 1,200 farmers have committed suicide there. Praising Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Modi said he has dedicated himself for the state’s progress and Haryana has reached among top states in terms of investments and revenue.
