Panipat: The police arrested the accused girl who kidnapped a youth contractor from Uttarakhand by trapping him in friendship on Facebook. The accused girl along with her friends kidnapped the contractor and his driver and demanded 20 lakh rupees as ransom. The girl who called the young man to Panipat was trapped in the net by befriending him on Facebook and got him kidnapped was arrested and sent to jail. However, the gang leader and the accused girl’s friend are still absconding. The police produced the accused girl in the court and sent her to jail . The Facebook girl friend after luring a contractor from Dehradun in Uttarakhand into the trap of friendship calling him to Panipat and getting him kidnapped by her accomplices. The accused girl’s friend is still out of police custody and the police team is raiding his hideouts.
However, the police have arrested four Shivansh, Raunak, Rohit and Mohit all residents of Balla village of Karnal and sent them to jail. The girl originally hailing from Jhajjar befriended Dehradun based contractor Manish on Facebook and trapped him in her net and called him to a hotel in Siwah, Panipat last Tuesday. As soon as he reached there, she got him and his driver kidnapped by her friends. They demanded a ransom of Rs. 20 lakh from the family of the contractor. The girl who kidnapped the contractor was sent to jail, whereas the gang leader and the accused girl’s friend are still absconding. The police produced the accused girl in the court and sent her to jail after luring a contractor from Uttarakhand into the trap of friendship on Facebook and calling him to Panipat and getting him kidnapped by her accomplices. The accused girl’s accomplices are still out of police custody.
The police have not been able to catch the gang leader and the accused girl’s friend so far and are conducting raids at his hideouts.
