Corrupts in government officers,staff in Haryana on SVB, CID & CM’s radar for action

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khatter during ‘Jan-sanvad’ program held at Sonipat recently while listening to the public grievances received large number of complaints about officers as well as staff working in different government offices in the state either taking no action or delaying the same for one reason or the other unless their demands for bribe are fulfilled as such he took a serious view saying that that such corrupt officers as well as staff working in government offices in the state  will not be spared at any cost. Chief Minister said that officers and staff demanding bribe and should be informed for taking action against such corrupts. On a complaint against a assistant working in Additional Deputy Commissioner office chief minister suspended him at the spot. Expressing deep concern  Chief Minister took action in several cases at the spot while listening to the complaints against government employees when he was told by few complainants that junior staff working in government offices usually say that the bribe amount has to be remitted to senior bureaucrats as well as up to chief minister.

When talking to media persons, Chief Minister said that stern action will be taken against officers and staff working in government offices involved in corrupt practices or are in the habit of delaying public cases for self vested interest for which Shatrujit Kapoor chief of State Vigilance Bureau and Alok Mittal chief CID in the state have been directed to take strict action against such corrupts harassing public unable to fulfill their demand for bribe. Khatter told media persons that State Vigilance Bureau and CID have already prepared a list of corrupt officers and the staff working in government offices to take action against them and push behind bars.

Chief Minister disclosed that nearly half dozen IAS, IPS officers as well as large number of employees working in government offices in the state and the mobile phones of suspected persons involved in corrupt practices  are on the radar of  State Vigilance Bureau as well as CID have been authorized to take strict action against them and in case of senior bureaucrats take action against them after seeking permission from Chief Secretary Haryana. Khatter told media persons that complaints as regard brokers are active and mushrooming in few government offices and police stations, especially in industrial towns Faridabad, Gurugram and Panipat and a list of such agents has also been prepared in these districts along with other districts in the state for taking action against them.

Expressing regrets, Chief Minister said that role of officers working in Transport, PWD, Municipal Corporation. Municipal Committee, Panchayat & Village Development offices in the state has proved disheartening where large number  of corruption cases have been reported in past couple of years. Information reveals, in past eight years ‘Manohar Government’ rule in Haryana state 1193 officers and employees working in government offices have been arrested allegedly involved in  corruption against them 965 cases were registered which include 85 senior officers, 684 junior officers  and 101 other than government employees. Chief Minister also appreciated the role of CM Flying Squad took action against corrupts during raids in past sometime.
