Chandigarh: Addressing media persons Haryana chief minister Naib Singh Saini said that is no mercy for the corrupts in Haryana, the file of the registry scam that happened during the period spread of epidemic outbreak Carona in the state will be opened again; the list is being prepared for the corrupt employees involved in the registry scams that took place during the Corona period in Haryana, which will now be investigated more deeply. After the list of corrupt Patwaris involved in illegal practices has been prepared, now the complaints against Naib Tehsildars, Tehsildars, Kanungos and Auditors are being investigated. It is also being ascertained whether their names are in the list of those tainted revenue officers who are involved in the registry scam.
Preparations are on to reopen the file of the registry scam that took place during the Corona period in Haryana, after the list of corrupt Patwaris has already been prepared, now the complaints against Naib Tehsildars, Tehsildars, Kanungos and Auditors, who are accused of corruption, are being investigated. Information reveals, the Revenue and Disaster Management Department is also investigating whether their names are in the list of those tainted revenue officers who are involved in the registry scam. On the report of the Special Investigation Committee constituted to investigate the registry scam that took place during the Corona period, the government had held 232 revenue officers, including kanungos, auditors, registry clerks and patwaris, besides 34 tehsildars and naib tehsildars, found guilty of manipulating the revenue records.
After action against patwaris, the government is considering re-examining the files and other records like CM window, pending complaints, source reports given by Anti Corruption Bureau and other internal vigilance agencies to identify corrupt revenue officials. At the same time, the government’s investigation is going on in the matter of the leaked list of 370 corrupt Patwaris. The CID is scrutinizing the inputs received from the districts and there is a possibility that the list issued by the Revenue Department to the DCs of the districts has been leaked from the district headquarters itself.
Along with this, intelligence agencies are also keeping an eye on internet media platforms. Some groups have also been identified in the investigation so far. However, the government has made it clear that the leaked list will not be withdrawn at any cost, it is likely that by next week the DC will prepare his report in this matter and send it to the government. However, the Patwaris had protested against the government and raised objections regarding this list. The Patwaris said that this list has damaged our image. This list has been prepared to defame us. Information reveals that in some places in the district, Patwaris have started wearing black badges in protest also. However, the chief minister said that the corrupts will not be spared at any cost. He said that state government has also prepared a list of those agents (brokers) seen mushrooming all over in revenue offices in the state, allegedly involved in corrupt practices and stern action will
