COVID-19; 29 positive cases identified in Haryana

With four fresh corona virus positive cases identified at Hisar, Sirsa and Faridabad in Haryana state in past 24 hours the number of cases has reached 29. Meanwhile, state government has sealed all borders in the state and deployed 825 Haryana Roadways buses to leave people migrated from other states gathered at Faridabad, Gurugram, Palwal and Sonepat willing to leave for their native places in U.P Haryana state government has made an appeal to migrant labourers from other states to stay at shelter homes in the state where government has also made arrangements for food. Information reveals, nearly 16000 persons are staying in Radha Swami Deras in the state. In a road mishap on Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Express Way on Sunday, eight migrant labourers on way to their native places were run over by a vehicle on the road in which five persons including a female child died on the spot, whereas three others were seriously injured and rushed to hospital.

Information reveals, police has arrested 176 persons, registered 140 FIRs at police stations and fined as many as 621 vehicle owners violating directions during six days lock down declared by the government. According to state health department information, maximum numbers of 10 corona positive cases were recorded at Gurugram but no fresh corona positive case has been reported in past six days during lock down period. Out of 14 corona positive cases from those arrived from Italy, 13 patients have already been cured and discharged from hospitals including five patients from Fortis Hospital and two from Medanta Hospital Gurugram. Another information reveals that out of 742 persons arrived in Haryana state in past 48 hours 26 persons were suspected corona positive and 768 persons are yet under survey lance, of them nine persons are suspected corona positive and admitted in hospitals.

According to state health department updated record so far, 13273 persons arrived in the state from other countries and kept under observation, 348 persons came in contact with corona positive patients and their samples were collected, 13621 persons were kept in survey lance of them the examination of 645 persons was completed and remaining 12976 persons are still undergoing survey lance. As many as 243 suspected persons are yet in hospitals. Samples of 666 persons were sent for testing in laboratory, of them sample report of 459 persons was observed negative and report of 185 samples is yet awaited.
