Sonipat: Additional District and Session Judge Suruchi Atreja Singh of Fast Track Court in Sonipat sentenced death penalty along with fine Rs 30000 each to four criminals allegedly raped and murdered two minor sisters in front of their mother at Sonipat. The court convicted four accused in the much-discussed case of gang rape of two minor sisters in front of their mother and later killed them by forcing them to drink pesticide about two years ago. The court termed their crime as heinous and said death penalty was appropriate for the culprits.
According to the information, the woman a widow originally hailing from Bihar, had made a complaint to the Kundli police station in Haryana on August 9, 2021 that she was living in a rented house along with her two daughters and three sons in which four other youths from Bihar also lived on rent in a separate room in the same premises. In her statement the woman siad that was sleeping in the room along with her 13 and 15 year old daughters on the night of August 5, 2021, whereas her sons were sleeping on the terrace when at around 12 o’clock in the night, the four youths living on rent in the adjoining room identified as Arun Pandit resident of Majgahi village of Darbhanga district of Bihar, Phool Chand resident of Masahori village, Dukhan Pandit resident of Jhakeli and Ramsuhag resident of Bada village of Samastipur entered her room and caught her daughters in the room.
In her complaint to police, the woman said that Arun and Phool Chand forcibly gang-raped her elder daughter, whereas Dukhan Pandit and Ram Suhag had gang-raped her younger daughter. She blamed that when they protested, her both daughters were forcibly given a drink containg insecticide. as a result the condition of both minor girls started worsening. when both started vomiting. She said the accused had threatened her that if she disclosed anything about the uncident to anyone they would kill her sons also, as such she remained silent out of fear due to the threat of killing her sons also.
The complainant woman said that later when she went to the terrace in the state of shock her both daughters were lying in the state of semi-conscious waiting for her and till four in the early morning the condition of both further worsened, both of them were admitted to Raja Harish Chandra Hospital in Narela, Delhi where both died. While making a statement to police, out of fear the woman told the Kundli police station that her daughters had died due to snakebite, but the post-mortem of both the bodies confirmed that both had died due to some poisonous substance identified as pesticide and had been gang-raped.
The police investigating officer Usha Malik and Narela police station in-charge Ravi when interrogated the woman strongly, the truth came out and a case was registered against the four accused Arun, Phool Chand, Dukhan Pandit and Ram Suhag for gang rape and murder by feeding poisonous substance to the victims and all four accused were arrested and confessed their crime before police.
