On a media question, Deepender Singh Hooda said that in 2019, the mood of people in the state was different when BJP candidates, including himself had lost Lok Sabha polls by a narrow margin in the state, but the things this time have changed since then. The people of Haryana have suffered under the 10-year misrule of the BJP government at the Centre as well as in Haryana state due to many reasons.

There is record unemployment among youths in Haryana, a record inflation, record corruption and fast increasing crimes for which Haryana have become No. 1 in the country. The state government’s brutal action against large number of  protests, including the farmers protesting against the three farm laws of the central government, the protest by women wrestlers whose demanded for an FIR was met by dragging them brutely at Jantar-Mantar Delhi, as such people are yearning for change now and bring the Congress back to power in the state under the leadership of Bhupinder Singh Hooda and HPCC president Udai Bhan. Hooda said, there is bitterness reflected in the BJP’s campaign speeches this time since they have realised that things are not going in their way, people are asking about their previous promise of jobs, doubling farmers’ income, bring back money from foreign banks etc, there is a long list and they have no answer.

Deepender Hooda said, the Congress is contesting the election in alliance with other parties and have received a good response. They have only one leader, whereas INDI Alliance has many leaders and we will put forward the name at the right time. When questioned about the groupism adversely affecting Congress party, in reply Hooda said like in other parties, there are multiple aspirants for getting a ticket to contest polls, the Congress fighting unitedly in Haryana and the results will show it. Hooda said that the people of Haryana are disappointed with the BJP government, this is the reason why the party changed its chief minister and deputy chief minister in the state, but this has not changed things for the party as such people are still distancing themselves from the BJP in the state.

Hooda continued that people are still distancing themselves from the BJP, they discontinued alliance with JJP because of the desertion, their government has lost the majority. “The chief minister should resign and fresh elections should be held under the President’s rule. If the CM doesn’t resign, the Governor should dismiss the government. The supporting party has publically announced withdrawal of its support to the government as such the Governor must take action.
