Detective teams to improve health services in Haryana: Anil Vij

Talking to media persons Home and Health Minister Anil Vij said that health department detective teams in the state will function similar to CM Flying Squad in the state which have brought satisfactory results to control criminal activities in government offices as well as in private sector conducting surprise raids. Vij said that he will control detective teams himself in order to improve health services in government hospital in the state. After a recent incident of deaths of mother and new born child allegedly due to carelessness of hospital staff at village Chautala in the state where thorough investigation in the case has been ordered. Vi j said that complaints as regard absence of doctors while on duty cause inconvenience to patients to wait for the treatment for a long time and decision has been taken to form a detective team comprising of health department officers as well as political workers to keep an strict eye over activities and bring reforms providing quick and efficient health services to suffering patients round the clock.

Vij while on action mode to improve health services in all government hospitals in the state going to have health department detective teams will have free hand to check a government hospital in the state to improve health services in the hospitals as in case of CM Flying Squad have provided efficient services to arrest criminal activities not only in government offices but also in private sector in the state in past about one year. Vij warned that lapses as regard providing health services to suffering patients will not be tolerated at any cost in the state and stern action will taken against irregularities in this regard.

Vij said that complaints are being received as regard few doctors coming late on duty as such biometric attendance system is being installed in all government hospitals in the state and action will be taken against late comer doctors and hospital staff causing inconvenience to patients. He said, complaints have also been received that few doctors are found missing in their rooms  as a result OPD in the hospital suffers when patients sitting outside their rooms have to wait for the treatment. Vij said, he will remain in touch with Chief Medical Officers in all civil hospitals in the state through video conference especially to check and reduce child death rate (IMR) as well as mother death rate ((MMR) in government hospitals due to staff neglect. Vij said that he himself will have surprise checks in government hospitals in the state from time to time. Vij said that all civil surgeons civil hospitals across the state have been directed to improve health services in their hospitals in within a week and lapses in this regard will not be tolerated. Vij said, complaints have been received that staff deployed in the maternity wards in many civil hospitals usually demanding gifts or cash after the birth of a newborn, which is illegal and will be treated as a serious offence in future will be treated as a case of corruption liable to register an FIR with police against such staff members in future , besides they will be suspended with immediate effect, Vij warned.
