Drone from Pakistan brings 3 Kilogram narcotics shot down by BSF

Amritsar, November 29- Border Security force foiled smuggling bid while capturing the drone and 3.110 kgs  narcotic at Indo-Pak border.

In a statement issued here today, BSF said that on 28th Nov’ 2022 at about 2247 hrs, BSF troops deployed at Indo-Pak  border heard buzzing sound of suspected drone entering from Pakistan into Indian territory in the area falling near Village – Chaharpur, District – Amritsar (Rural).

As per drill, the troops tried to intercept the suspected drone by firing. Bullet hit the Drone due to which it fell down on the ground.  Immediate after the whole area was cordoned. The Police & concerned sister agencies were informed.

Further, during initial search, BSF party recovered 01 Hexacopter (Wt – appx – 18.050 kgs) in partial damaged condition along with three suspected narcotics packets in a white colour polythene attached underneath (Gross wt – 3.110 kgs) lying in farming field on own side of border fencing near Village – Chaharpur.
