Drone from Pakistan intercepted in Amritsar sector

Amritsar, October 17 – The patrolling party of Border Security Force (BSF) has intercepted a drone which entered Indian Territory from Pakistan.

In a statement issued here today, a BSF spokesperson said that  on October 16th, the BSF troops during patrolling heard the buzzing sound of a suspected flying object (drone) entering Indian  territory  from Pakistan. The spot of incident was at borer village Rannia of Amritsar sector.

Spokesperson said that as per drill, BSF troops tried to intercept the suspected flying object by gun fire. Bullet hit the drone and fell it down on the ground. The whole area was cordoned and immediately   the concerned sister agencies and police were informed.

Spokesperson said that during preliminary search BSF recovered one Quadcopter weighing approximately 12 kilogram with two packets of contraband weighing 2 kilogram wrapped in polythene.
