Drug ‘Chitta’ of value worth Rs 1.25 crore seized seized by Ambala police

Ambala: Police seized drugs (Chitta) of value worth Rs 1.25 crore from a youth identified as Ravinder Kumar alias Ravi a resident of Madhugarh in Mohindergarh district on July 1st night when he was moving under suspiceous condition behind B.D. Flour Mills Ambala cantt. During search police recovered drugs from him and a case under section NDPS Act was registered against him. During preliminary investigation arrested youth told that he was supplying drugs to a supplier Tejvinder Singh a resident of Ramkishen Colony Ambala Cantt having a network of drugs supply in the area. Police during a raid arrested Tejvinder Singh and both were produced in the court on Juky 2 and sent under judicial remand.

Addressing media persons, SP Ambala Jashandeep Singh Randhawa said that woman drugs peddlar Geeta arrested a couple of days ago while carrying hundreds of intoxicated capsules near old fish market Ambala Cantt disclosed that she had brought capsules from a chemist Vishal running a medical store at village Manuganj in Lakhimpur Kheri district in U.P when police team raided the chemist shop and also arrested  the chemist Vishal and brought to Ambala. Randhawa said that Ambala police has arrested 173 drug smugglers so far registering 100 cases under NDPS Act.
