Drug smuggled from Pakistan at Indo-Pak border seized

Amritsar, January 9 -Border Security Force (BSF) today seized 500 grams Heroin at Indo-Pak border which was smuggled to India from the neighboring country Pakistan.

In a statement issued here today, BSF official said that on 09th Jan’ 2022 during afternoon hours, amidst dense foggy condition, BSF  troops deployed on border heard sound of something thrown over the border fence towards own side of fencing in the area falling near Village – Mehandipur, District – Tarn Taran.

However, the smugglers managed to escape taking advantage of dense fog. Further, during the initial search of the area, troops recovered one packet of narcotics (Heroin) (Gross wt – 500 Gms) wrapped in yellow colour polythene.
