Drugs, mobile phone, surgical blades and needles recovered in district jail Jind

Jind: On the complaint of the jail Deputy Superintendent, Civil Lines police station registered a case against nine prisoners under the Narcotics Control Act and the Prisoner Act, including a tractor driver Sandeep, a resident of village Kapad, who brought construction material for the construction work going on in the district jail by Police House Corporation being carrying out in jail complex. According to a guard of security staff the driver of the tractor bringing construction material, was bringing drugs inside the jail in connivance with the prisoners and throwing them in the jail park from along the boundary wall. On this basis, when the jail administration searched, packets were found in the water drainage pipe, which included two strips of intoxicating pills, a mobile phone, battery charger, 15 surgical blades, 25 needles. After finding intoxicating pills and other drugs, Jail Deputy Superintendent Surendra made a complaint to police.

During investigation, it was found that prisoners Manjeet and Dinesh had hidden the packets in the water pipe. Investigation officer Rajkumar of Civil Line Police Station said that on the complaint of Jail Deputy Superintendent Surendra, a case has been registered against prisoners Jatin, resident of village Ramrai, Ashok, resident of Safidon Gate, Surendra, resident of village Rajgarh, Bunty, resident of village Peepaltha, Ravindra, resident of village Budayan, Monu Thakur, resident of village Sufalparwa, UP, Dinesh, resident of Shyam Nagar, Manjeet, resident of village Nidani and tractor driver Sandeep under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and other sections.
