Eight renowned industrial groups desire to set up industry in Haryana: HEPB

Chandigarh: To fulfill the dream of Viksit Bharat, we will make Haryana a key hub for manufacturing, said Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini while addressing 17th meeting of Haryana Enterprises Promotion Board  (HEPB) with the representatives of the industry in which Anil Vij Labour Minister, Rao Narbir Singh Industry & Pollution Control Minister, Dr Arvind Sharma Tourism Minister, Ranbir Singh Gangwa PWD (B&R), Anurag Rastogi Chief Secretary, Rajesh Khuller  Principal Chief Secretary to CM and Arun Gupta Chief Secretary. Saini said the state grew tremendously as an industrial power centre in the 10 years due to industry-friendly and labour welfare policies. He said Haryana today ranked fifth in the country in the GST collection on the strength of the progress of its industrial institutions. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi dreams of a developed India by 2047, and to fulfil this resolution, the Budget allotment of the Department of Industry and Commerce has been increased to over Rs 1,848 crore in this year’s Budget, which is 129 per cent more than last year,” Saini said.

The Chief Minister said the Haryana Government has included several measures in the Budget to improve the quality of life of industrial workers. He said as many as 300 ‘Atal Kisan Shramik Canteens’ would be opened in  industrial areas across the state to meet the residential needs of workers so that they could get nutritious food at reasonable rates. CM said the state government has implemented several important measures, such as the Haryana Enterprises and Employment Policy-2020, to create a business-friendly environment and encourage investment. To ensure a simple and smooth approval process for investors, the government had established online single-window clearance systems, which helped the state in being ranked among the top states in the Ease of Doing Business Index.

The Chief Minister said, on the lines of IMT Kharkhoda, 10 new Industrial Model Townships (IMTs) would be developed in Haryana, for which the demand for land would be registered by HSIIDC on the e-Bhoomi portal. Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh said development of industrial areas was on cards, and the demand for infrastructural upgrades by industrial organisations would start in the next three months and would be completed in six months enabling the state to become an industrial hub. Saini said that eight large industrial houses in the country as well as from abroad has expressed desire to set up their industrial units in the state, demanding state’s cooperation such as a single window system, lack of interference by related government employees when they assured to provide 80% employment opportunities to the residents of Haryana, except for specialised technical jobs.

Among organizations that expressed desire to set up their industry in Haryana included a Japan based automobile parts manufacturing company for two-wheeler and four- wheelers expressed desire to set up a manufacturing unit in Kharkhoda, Vayu Products  Pvt. Limited  manufacturing Solar Products desired to set up two manufacturing plants in Haryana at Bhagalpur (Jhajjar) and Naraingarh in Ambala district. Another firm, Advani Willmar, wants to set up a plant at Mundlana (Gohana) to manufacture agriculture equipment and fertilizers. ATL Battery Technologies Private Limited expressed desire to set up a plant to manufacture Lithium Cell Batteries at IMT Sohna in Gurugram district. Panasonic Life Solution Limited wants to set up industry in Techno Park  at village Beed Dadri at Jhajjar.GFL Foils Products Private Limited wants to set up Aluminium Industry in Rewari district. Another manufacturing unit JBM Electric Vehicles Private Limited has desired to set up an industry under HEBP policy with the assistance of Haryana state government assuring to provide 75% jobs to Haryana youths.
