Employment to 5 lakh youths and 48000 new industry in Haryana: Khatter

Pointing at the leaders of political parties in opposition making baseless allegations on ruling BJP government in Haryana, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khatter said that in past six years rule government in the state has provided employment to more than five lakh youths in government and private sectors in the state. He said, not only this, nearly 48000 micro, small and medium industrial units were set in Haryana state with investment worth Rs 80 thousand crore in this period, whereas  former both chief ministers Om Parkash Chautala and Bhupinder Singh Hooda were not able to provide employment opportunities to such a large number of youths while ruling in the state.

Khatter said, new industry policy has been prepared and likely to provide employment to large number of youths in the state likely to be launched shortly. He said, decision has been taken to provide extra facilities to those entrepreneurs setting up industry in areas declared backward in the state.  He said, state government has already notified 75% reservation for Haryana youths in the state in private sector also and apart from this portal has been started for registration of group C and D government jobs on the basis of merits to stop corruption in getting government jobs.

Khatter sais, ruling government is much worried to increase farmers income in the country but a group of farmers under the influence of political parties in opposition and anti-social elements undergoing protests to oppose the same, likely to end soon. He said, Haryana state government is going to launch new schemes in the state for the welfare of farmers, which include irrigation system to meet acute shortage of water in Southern part in Haryana which will not only reduce production cost of crops but also increase crop production. Khatter said, a campaign has been started to make nearly 25 lakh acre waste land in the state fit for agriculture use.

In reply to a question as regard coming budget to be declared in the state shortly Khatter said, in spite of the fact the state suffered severe set back in revenue collection due to epidemic outbreak when lock down was declared and most of the government offices as well as private organizations remained closed for months and the state suffered revenue loss worth Rs 12000 crore in this period as such government will be compelled to reduced budget to few departments but at the same time try to provide maximum funds to few sectors including health, education, employment, irrigation, electricity, urban developments, agriculture and rural developments. Khatter said, a meeting will be held prior to coming budget session to declare the same on the basis of feedback.
