Few blame nature, others accuse government neglect for epidemic outbreak

People had relief when first wave of Carona disease started receding in the end of year 2020 saying good bye, but they never hoped that the second variant of highly infectious disease will take birth again in 2021 and play havoc. A survey revealed, some people blame nature responsible for epidemic outbreak again, whereas large number of people from higher and educated society accused government neglect responsible for spread of disease second time in a massive way raising a question over why elections were announced by the government in several states in-spite of the fact epidemic outbreak of first wave of Carona was still not wiped out completely from the country not only left life of a common person adversely affected but also economic condition of trade and industry in the country suffered heavy set back. Not only trade and industry in the country was severely affected unemployment too witnessed heavy increased since large number of industrial units either became sick or closed down..

It was merely a neglect when new variant of epidemic witnessed fast spread and today large number of people all over in the country are in the grip of infectious disease claiming several lives everyday. According to available data, during first wave of KOVID-19 the death rate was nearly 3% till month June 2020 and due to government alertness and support by the doctors and health workers it reduced to 1.45%. According to health department information death rate further reduced to 1.21% during second variant at present but at the same time there is drastic increase in this most infectious disease at present and few states in the country including Maharashtra and in northern and south part in the country are worst affected where number of victims constantly rising and it is very essential to control fast increasing virus.

We are proud, our country is one of the largest manufacturers of vaccines to fight Carona virus having nearly 60% share in the world. Earlier people were hesitant get themselves vaccinated, but after the virus started spreading fast medical experts said vaccination developed in the country is only weapon to fight virus up to 80- 90%. According to Centre for Disease Control, nearly 5800 persons were found Carona positive out of total number of 7.7 crore persons vaccinated. Information reveals, about 9% population in the country has already taken first dose of vaccination whereas government of India aims 25% population in the country  to be vaccinated by the month July this year.

According to information, the second wave of Carona virus is more violent as compared to the first wave in 2020 and the country was not prepared to face the same.In view of shortage of oxygen government has given permission for installation of 162 oxygen plants to manufacture oxygen in the country on top priority to meet acute shortage of oxygen. State Home-Health Minister Anil Vij warned, stern action will be taken against medical stores selling Remedisiver injections used for the treatment of Carona virus being sold in black market.

Information reveals, number of doctors as well as hospitals in the state is much lesser as compared to the population in the country and in case government had taken care after the first wave of epidemic outbreak in the country would have been saved from present crisis. Talking to media persons, in reply to a question Vij  said, more than 50% patients  suffering from Carona admitted in  hospitals at Gurugram, Faridabad and Sonipat  belong to Delhi and because of lack of facilities available in hospitals  at Delhi got themselves admitted in hospitals in Haryana and we could not refuse to admit such patients and provide them health services. Vij said, we are alert and have constituted state as well as district level committees in our health department. Pointing at Delhi Chief Minister, Vij said it is duty of the state to make available necessary facilities to suffering patients instead of making baseless political statements.

Vij said, there is shortage of beds in the hospitals at Delhi as well as in many other states, whereas sufficient quantity of beds are still vacant in the hospitals in Haryana state apart from ample stocks of oxygen and medicines required for the treatment of disease as well as ample stocks of vaccines  required to fight virus. Vij said, more than 60 lakh people above age 45 in Haryana state has been vaccinated so far, more than 10 lakh injections are lying in stocks and supply of another15 lakh vaccines is in pipe line. He said, there is no shortage of oxygen in hospitals in the state and some of the hospitals are having their own arrangement for the production of oxygen as such people in the state should not feel panicky. Vij said, there are 19 government and 21 private laboratories in the state to provide immediate test report of a suspected Carona positive patients apart from 42 KOVID dedicated hospitals and large number of private hospitals providing treatment to patients. Vij said, there are 809 Help Centres, 65703 beds, 2131 ICU beds and 1079 beds having provision for ventilators.. He said, to provide efficient services to Carona patients surgery in government hospitals in the state have been discontinued for some time.

Vij made an appeal to to migrant labourers leaving for their native places not to leave as there is no danger to their employment and as such there is no proposal by the state government for a lockdown in the state, however, government may announce few restrictions to save people getting infected from the virus.
