Five arrested allegedly manufacturing fake coins in Haryana

Special Police Cell Delhi led by Rajiv Ranjan DCP in late night raid on May 22, 2022 busted a industrial premises while manufacturing Rs 5 and Rs 10 coins and seized nearly 2.82 quintal fake coins of value worth Rs 12 lakh in a house at village Imlota in Charkhi Dadri district in Haryana and arrested four persons while packing coins in bags. The prime accuse Naresh Kumar originally hailing from Charkhi Dadri arrested on a clue at Delhi disclosed that coins are being manufactured at village Imlota in Charkhi Dadri district since past over a month as such Delhi police team conducted raid, Sandeep Faugat ASI in-charge Imlota police post said.   

Information reveals, prime accuse in the case Naresh on a clue was arrested by Delhi police on April 22, 2022 from PVC market near Tikri border and during search police recovered 10113 Rs 10 fake coins from his car. During preliminary investigation he disclosed that fake coins are being manufactured in his factory at Imtola in Charkhi Dadri district from where he originally belongs. Information revealed that Naresh was involved in illegal manufacturing and sale of fake coins since past over two decades and was arrested three times in past including twice by Haryana police while selling fake coins. He was arrested by police and sentenced five years imprisonment by the court, released on bale by High Court orders when he managed to abscond and was declared offender by the court in 1998.

Investigation during police remand revealed that Naresh was involved in different professions including sale of automobile carpet and seat covers and even running general store at Rohini in Delhi for sometime hiding his identity even from his near relatives. In 2016 Naresh started manufacturing fake coints in a factory at Bawana  in Delhi along with two others. Finally, Naresh was arrested by Delhi police on a clue and during raid at his Imlota factory arrested four persons preparing fake coins on April 22 late night identified as Santosh Mandal,  Sharvan Kumar Sharma, Dharminder Mehto and  Dharminder Sharma all originally hailing from Bihar and seized stocks of fake coins, machine to manufacture coins and raw metals for manufacture coins.

During police remand, Naresh admitted that fake coins of value 7.5 lakh were being supplied at the cost Rs 5 lakh through a network for supply of fake coins in the market and the manufacturing cost of a Rs 10 fake coin was only Re 1 each and he used to pay 25 paisa each coin to the workers manufacturing fake coins. Naresh disclosed that he had taken factory premises at village Imlota on monthly rent Rs 15000 on a lease period for 11 months to manufacture chemicals.
