Five drug addict accused arrested for robbing two liquor shops

Sirsa: Sadar Police station Dabwali arrested a gang of five accused in two cases of robbery at the liquor shops at village Maujgarh and Matdadu in the district. Police recovered the bike, pistol and iron sticks used in the crime from the arrested accused. The arrested accused were identified as Nishan and Arshdeep resident of Abubshahar, Sukhbir alias Bawra resident of Dabwali, Jaspreet alias Gauri resident of Maujgarh and Gurwinder Singh alias Ravi alias Titu resident of Shiv Nagar Dabwali. Arshdeep, Gurvinder and  Jaspreet were working in a welding shop. Whereas, Nishan and Sukhbir were daily wagers. All of them were addicted to drugs and liquor.
Inspector Brahmaprakash, in-charge of Sadar police station of Dabwali, said that on October 23, Abhijeet resident of village Semri, police station Patan, district Palamu, Jharkhand working as a salesman at a liquor shop in village Maujgarh made a complaint that In the evening two masked youths came to the shop and took away 20 thousand rupees kept in the cash box at gunpoint along with few liquor bottles. In the second case on 13 October, another youth Nitish Kumar resident Selwar Tilhar originally hailing from District Chatra Jharkhand had lodged a complaint that on the night of 12 October he was sitting at the liquor shop of village Maujgarh where he was working as a salesman, three masked boys riding on a bike arrived, when one of them carrying a pistol in his hand and an axe in other hand threatened him and took away amount worth Rs 44,370 from the cash box along with liquor bottles.. On the strength of these boys, the accused fled with the sack.

SP Deepti Garg while addressing media persons said that police formed a joint team of Sadar Police Station, CIA Staff Dabwali, Police Outpost Chautala, ANC Special Staff and Cyber Cell under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police Headquarters Kishori Lal. The joint team collected evidences of all five accused and arrested all accused, admitted during police remand that they were involved in criminal activities to meet their demand of drugs and liquor.
