Foreign investment proposals likely with 35 Japanese companies: Khatter

With the help of video conferencing organised by Japan External Trade Organization between Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khatter and Chief Executive Officers of as many as 35 big Japnese companies in the presence of Japan Ambassador in India Satosh Suzuki and several senior bureaucrats of state industry department Haryana when nearly 35 Japanese firms expressed willingness to make investment in Haryana. Talking to media persons, Khatter said that these companies were much impressed by attractive offers made by Haryana state government and expressed desire to make investment in the state enabling to improve economic condition disturbed due to Corona virus epidemic outbreak in Haryana.

Khatter said, several prominent manufacturing groups in Japan including Honda, Maruti Suzuki, Cannon, NEC Technologies, Munjal Kario and many more are already having manufacturing units in Haryana state and expressed desire to expand their existence business in the state. He said, on February 15, 2020 he had a detailed discussion with several foreign investors during Japan-Haryana Golf Meet. Khatter said that during recent meeting a couple of days ago, Haryana sate government has tried to attract Japanese investors with lucrative offers including to allot them land, which was a major issue for investors, on lease hold basis with availability of all facilities required for an industry including labour, transport service, non-erratic electricity and water supply round the clock and all services to set up and run industry available at single window. Khatter said that Haryana state government has constituted a new policy ‘Udhan Protsahan Neeti -2020 made available to industry in the state.

Haryana Chief Minister said that Haryana state government is interested not only to concentrate on foreign investors but also keen to assist indigenous manufacturers as well as satisfy consumers in the country, not restricted only B to B (Business to Business) or G to B (Government to Business) or G to G (Government to Government). Khatter said, Haryana is land of holy Geeta and we believe in H to H (Heart to Heart) contact as such Japanese companies has expressed  to make investment in the country at their first choice in Haryana state. He said, Haryana state government is trying its best to uplift micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) in the state to support big players likely to make investment in the state and developing a separate MSME department.
