Panchkula: CBI court at Panchkula on Saturday sentences four accused to death along with fine of Rs. 8.2 Lakh in a case related to double murder, gang rape of two teen girls including a minor and dacoity at village Dingerhedi in district Nuh and Mewat on the night of 24th and 25th August in 2016. The accused are identified as Hemat Chouhan alias Dharmu, Rahul, Ayan Chauhan alias Munna alias Lucky, Vinay alias Lambu alias Tully and Jai Bhagwan. A case was registered in Tauru police station in district Nuh under Section 459, 460, 376-D, 396, 397 of IPC, Section 6 of POCSO Act, 2012 and Section 25, 54, 59 of Arms Act, 1959 alleging that a group of 04/05 persons entered the house of the victim during midnight and attacked the family in their house with lathi, iron road and with hand pistol gun. The accused gang raped two females including a minor girl in the home and thereafter looted ornaments, cash from their possession and during attack one of the victim the wife died and others received grievous injuries of them one succumbed to the injuries.
Thereafter, on the request of the State Government of Haryana, the case was hover to CBI started investigation and after conducting scientific investigation CBI filed two supplementary charge sheets including against the convicted accused on 24.01.2018 and on 29.11.2019. CBI collected forensic evidences like DNA profiling, finger print matching etc. and framed the charges on 15.03.2021 against accused by Haryana Police as well as by CBI.On 10.04.2024, Trial Court had convicted aforementioned four accused persons under Section 120B, 302, 307, 376-D, 323, 459, 460 IPC and under Section 6 of POSCO Act 2012 and had fixed later dates for pronouncement of sentence and the victim family was able to get justice after over seven year.
