Four killed and one injured seriously in Tarn Taran road district

Amritsar : Four car borne people killed in the  fatal road accident and one seriously injured when their car collided in Trala (big sized commercial truck), said police.

Police said that the accident took place during midnight due to thick fog as visibility was very poor at Harike Bypass Amritsar- Bathinda National Highway during Thursday Night around 12.00 A.M.

Police said there were five people travelling in the Maruti Swift car. They had gone to Amritsar for pilgrimage and late at night they began their return journey from Amritsar to Guru Harshay town of Ferozpur district. Due to dense fog r car driver can’t see the Trala which was on Harikey Bypass Bridge and their car rammed into it.

The dead were identified as Robinpreet Singh, Rajbir Singh Bedi, Karamjeet Singh and Gurdev Singh .  However, driver Balwinder was admitted to the hospital with multiple injuries. The car was badly damaged in the accident.

Police said that at the time of accident the car was moving at very high speed and the accident took place when the driver of the car was trying to overtake the vehicle which was moving ahead and rammed into   twelve tyre big Trala ( Truck).
