Ambala : The bodies of four members of a family residing at village Tiwana near Lalru travelling in a Maruti Suzuki 800 car drowned in Narwana branch canal near village Ismailpur in Ambala district was brought out by divers under mysterious circumstances. Naggal police station team reached at the spot on getting information and samples of the viscera of deceased have been sent for testing to confirm if it was a incidental case or those died had consumed poison since foam was oozing from the mouth of female child and blood was seen coming out from the mouth of father driving the car. According to an eye witness, the couple was seen having hot discussion for about 15 minutes before car fell down in the river deep in water, later divers arrived at the spot brought out the bodies of four members of the family. Police officials said that prima facie the cause of death seemed to be drowning. However, the viscera report will reveal truth.
The victims were identified as Kulbir Singh (40), his wife Kamaljit (38), their daughter Jashanpreet (16) and son Khushpreet (11). SHO Naggal police station Anant Ram said, inquest proceedings have been initiated under Section 174 of IPC and autopsies were carried out in the presence of their relatives at the civil hospital Ambala and their viscera samples have been sent for further investigation to forensic laboratory. The family of four had gone missing on Sunday, after which Sucha Singh father of Kulbir Singh a 40-year-old dairy farmer left in the ill-fated car had registered a missing persons’ report at the Lalru police station. Sucha Singh said that the family of four had left home to pay obeisance at the gurdwara and visit their relatives on Sunday but did not return home and their phones remained unreachable till the evening, The victim’s father said his son, who was actively involved in politics had been upset and was also on medication at the time of mishap.
