Karnal: Team of State Vigilance Bureau Karnal busted a racket of four officers including a female working in Haryana Urban Development Authority at Karnal allegedly accepting bribe for issuing completion certificate of building structures. The four  arrested by the vigilance team were identified as in-charge Property Officer, a Junior Engineer Pardhuman Singh and a female officer Shashi Bala arrested by the police on August 31 this year while accepting Rs 50000 bribe at the residence of Junior Engineer in Sector 13, Karnal when issued completion certificate. During search police recovered amount worth Rs 20 lakh from his residence collected as bribe in several cases. On the statement of Junior Engineer police registered a case against Property Officer and female officer also.

State Vigilance Bureau team on a clue on Tuesday arrested Architect Varun Dutt working in the office of Haryana Urban Development Authority at Karnal on Tuesday on whose report completion certificates of buildings were issued while accepting bribe with the involvement of Deed Writer. Investigation by State Vigilance Bureau revealed that the racket of four in the office used to get bribe amount between Rs 30000 to 40000 for issuing a completion certificate to be shared by all alleged accused.
