Gangster Bunty Kaushal, main accused in Gappu murder case, arrested after 3 years

Ambala: The team io CIA -2 of Ambala police arrested a gangster who has over 12 cases of murder, attempted murder and Arms Act registered against him arrested after three years after allegedly shooting a man at a private hospital in Ambala city on Tuesday. Arrested gangster Vikram Kaushal alias Bunty, a history sheeter with over 12 cases had a Rs 50,000 bounty on his head, a native of Cross Road in Ambala Cantt was remanded for seven days after being presented in a court. On February 26, 2022, Bunty along with his associates, reached Mission Hospital on Old Hisar Road in Ambala City, allegedly shot dead Aman alias Gappu over an old enmity. A case was lodged at Baldev Nagar police station Ambala City following a complaint lodged by the deceased’s mother. A special investigating team (SIT) was formed and arrested seven accused in connection with the murder. Apart from the Haryana Police, the special task force (STF) was also tasked to nab Bunty, who was absconding for the  past about three years.

Bunty had come to the hospital to meet the sick woman a leading journalist in the area who had called Aman alias Gappu to the spot to make a compromise with Bunty and during a conversation took place between the three on 26 February 2022 in hospital campus and managed to escape after firing several shots on Aman alias Gappu succumbed to his injuries. However, Bunty Kaushal, main accused in murder case, has been arrested after three years, and remanded to police custody for seven days produced in the court on Tuesday to recover the pistol used in the crime from the accused during the remand. A heavy police force was also deployed during his court appearance. The police had also placed a reward of Rs 50,000 on absconding Bunty having several hard core crimes registered against him. The CIA-2 team produced the accused in court on Tuesday and took him on seven-day police remand. After the murder, the police arrested three accused in this case. These included Bunty Kaushal’s brother Amit Kaushal, a woman and her nephew Vikas Sharma alias Shivi, but all these were released on bail since they were not involved in these crimes except attempting a compromise between the accused and victim.
