After the death of gangster Harvinder Singh alias Rinda against whom large number of criminal cases including murder, attempt to murder, supply of arms and drugs through his network were registered by Punjab police managed to flee to Pakistan via Nepal to escape his arrest by the police and took shelter of ISI in Pakistan to spread terrorism in India supplying arms, RDX and drugs, mainly heroine from Pakistan through drones near Indo-Pakistan border in Punjab with the help of his network in Punjab further making supplies in other part in country. After recent information about the arrest of another hard core terrorist Goldy Brar at California in USA alleged prime accuse in murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala and a Hindu leader also most wanted in more than two dozen crimes including murders and ransom demand by the police in several states there will be a relief in criminal activities in northern states in the country to some extent. According to National Investigation Agency (NIA) report there are large numbers of hard core criminals spreading terrorism in the country on their radar.
After the incident of recovery of 48 mobile phones from prisoners lodged in Ambala central jail in a month apart from another 22 mobile phones burnt down or damaged by the prisoners themselves on the information of strict checking by jail security staff, CID in the state during investigation was able to find out that hard core criminals, members of gangster groups and number of senior former government bureaucrats and businessmen arrested by state Vigilance Bureau Haryana in past some time are keeping mobile phones inside the jail illegally and the members of gagster groups are still running criminal network from inside the jail. Information reveals that Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khatter recently had a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah to review the situation and take action in this regard when according to sources decision has been taken for strict action against terrorists by NIA which conducted raids on few terrorists in past sometime.
In past some time as well as recently police arrested few members of the gangster groups working on the tips of prominent criminals either locked in jails or outside as well as few operating from other countries supplying illegal arms, drugs and demanding ransom from businessmen threatening to kill them were arrested in Haryana. Earlier, ransom demand was being made on Watts up from abroad but now it has been observed that gangsters locked in jail or in other countries are operating the game of ransom demand through mobile phones registered in other countries. Haryana chief Minister during recent meeting with Union Home Minister as well as police experts from different states suggested that gangsters lodged in jails in northern states should be shifted to jails in southern, eastern or western states and vice versa as in case of Atiq Ahmed a crime mafia from U.P was locked in jail at Ahmedabad in Gujarat state. The suggestion was approved by the government enabling to reduce terrorist activities by the prisoners lodged in jails.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) recently carried out search at as many as 13 locations in three states and two Union Territories as part of its crackdown on the alleged nexus between terrorists, gangsters and drug smugglers. Information reveals that the searches were conducted in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Union Territories of Chandigarh and Delhi. The raids and searches were conducted in Fazilka, Taran Taran, Ludhiana, Sangrur and Mohali districts of Punjab having maximum number of terrorist activities, besides conducted raids at Yamuna Nagar district of Haryana, Sikar district of Rajasthan, few other districts in northern part of country and Delhi/NCR area to dismantle and disrupt the emerging nexus between terrorists, gangsters and drug smugglers running their criminal network in India as well as from abroad.
According to the NIA information, the raids and searches are part of the crackdown against organized criminal syndicates and networks, top gangsters, their criminal associates based in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Delhi conducted at the hide outs, residences or commercial premises of gangsters including Lawrence Bishnoi, Sunil Maan alias Tillu Tejpuria, Kaushal Chaudhary of Gurugram, Vishal Maan of Prahladpur, Binny Gurjar of Sangrur, Ravi Rajgarh of Ludhiana, Vikas Gulia, Arshdeep Singh from Haryana, Vikramjit Singh hailing from Kurukshetra in Haryana operating his network from Dubai, Kala Rana, Gurjant Singh alias Janta giving audio massages against India from Europe, Dinesh Sharma from Mylesia and few others identified as Kaala Jathedi, Kanwaljit Singh Khanpuri, Sunil Balyan, Neeraj Dabas alias Bali, Sandeep and Maneesh all are on NIA radar. During searches, incriminating materials including various types of contraband and ammunition were seized and it was observed that these gangs were carrying out targeted killings and raising funds for criminal activities through smuggling of drugs and weapons. They used to make extortion calls to businessmen and professionals to create a widespread scare among the people using cyber space to publicize these crimes and create terror among the public at large.
