During ‘Gauravshali Bharat Rally’ organized by Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) at Panipat in Haryana, Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur while addressing media said that nearly 15 political leaders of different political parties gathered at Patna to form a ‘Maha-gathbandhan’ to fight jointly against BJP and defeat in coming Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha polls. Anurag Takur said, he fails to understand if it is a ‘Gath-bandhan’ or a ‘Thug-bandhan’ without having any sincere leader or any firm policy.
Pointing at thr Congress, Anurag Thakur reminded film ‘Devdas’ saying that people had seen this film on screen through reel and now they will see it as a real film in which Congress playing lead role, whereas other prominent key roles are being played by different artists including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, former UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and few others involved in conspiracy against ruling Narender Modi led BJP government in the country. He said that the meeting held at Patna recently ended without any specific result regarding ‘Maha Gath-bandhan’, except an agenda regarding discussion over Rahul Gandhi’s marriage and his mother Sonia Gandhi unhappy due to this.
Anurag Thakur said, it seems a ‘Natak Mandli’ comprising  nearly 15 leaders working as artists from different political parties in the country expressed un-happiness over Modi government presently ruling over in the country are merely playing a ‘Notanki’. Anurag Thakur said that people in the country are well aware of the BJP’s performance in the country and Prime Minister Narender Modi’s reputation all over the world in the past nine years. He said, among prominent welfare activities of BJP government in the country in past nine years include construction of residential houses for families below poverty line,  construction of toilets in every house, availability of electricity and cooking gas for all under ‘Ujwal Yozna’,  facility of free medical expenses up to Rs 5 lakh, construction of thousands kilometer roads and highways across the country, metro service network in 15 states across the country, One Rank One Pension Scheme for former army men, availability of bullet proof jackets for army jawans and many more facilities for residents in the country as well as farmers.
Pointing to Congress government ruling over the country for years, Anurag Thakur said that people cannot forget excesses during emergency declared in the country when Congress government was ruling. He reminded of large number of scams reported in the country when Congress was ruling, some of these include 2G scam, sub-marine scam, commonwealth ghotala,  Jeeja ji scam, National Herald scam in which both son Rahul Gandhi as well as mother Sonia Gandhi are stil on bale and there is a long list of otherscams.
