Amritsar : Custom officials have seized smuggled Gold weighing 808 grams having worth Rs . 49.12 lacs at Shri Guru Ramdas ji  International Airport here today. In an official statement issued here stated that Customs staff of SGRD JI International Airport, Amritsar intercepted one passenger coming from Dubai by Spicejet flight SG56 in the morning of today. On his personal search, 3 capsules were found hidden inside his rectum weighing 1173 grams. The recovered gold from the said 3 capsules is 808 grams and market value of the said gold is Rs. 49.12 lacs. The same was seized under section 110 of Custom Act, 1962. Further investigation is under process.
