Goods of value worth over Rs 2 crore were reduced to ashes in fire in scientific instruments manufacturing industry Jain Scientific Instruments Private Limited on Hargolal Road Ambala Cantt on February 29 at around 2 a.m. suspected due to electric short circuit. Double storey building of factory was also severely damaged, besides other residential buildings in the area. The factory used to manufacture Metal Tube Rota Motor, Burn on Chambers and several other scientific instruments being sold indigenously as well as in export markets. Finding flames and thick smoke during midnight the residents of area informed fire station when fire tenders arrived from fire station and India Air Force extinguished fire in more than four years. SHO Sadar police Station Vijay Kumar reached at the spot immediately with police force. Cabinet Health, Sports and Home Minister Anil Vij also visited the spot in the morning.
